Local Additive Feature Attribution: A Mathematical Taxonomy and Reporting Checklist

Feature-attribution methods are central to explainable artificial intelligence. Their assumptions are expressed in several mathematical languages: cooperative-game values, path integrals, gradient operators, perturbation distributions, and backpropagation rules.
